The Dugout Festival, Hoxton Arches [2013]

The Dugout was an Inclusive Women’s Arts Festival which took place on the 2nd March 2013 at the Hoxton Arches, London. Funded by the University of Brighton's Springboard Grants Programme, the festival offered a variety of visual arts over a day long event through inclusive workshops, a visual arts exhibition, a film programme, stalls and collaborative projects.  The Dugout was curated by women with learning disabilities who were members of Barnet Mencap.  This project was a precursor to my later inclusive curating research. To read more about this visit Canvassing Opinion:Barnet Mencap Newsletter, pages 4 & 5.
